PLC Alum Completes Canada to Cabo Bike Adventure

PLC Alum Ryan Van Duzer (Class of 98) made it, pedaling his mountain bike 3,000 miles from Vanouver to Cabo San Lucas.  His journey down the West Coast was designed to raise money for Boulder's Community Cycles and to gather signatures for the "People for Bikes" campaign. He left  Vancouver on Aug. 10.

Van Duzer, 31, of Boulder, is a cycling advocate who has never had a driver's license. He spent last summer crossing the country on a three-speed cruiser, raising about $6,000 for Community Cycles.

The trip -- from Vancouver, Canada, to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico -- lasted just under six weeks. Along the way he sent dispatches for the Boulder Daily Camera and posted videos on his website.
