Scholarship Opportunity

The Orbis Institute presented their China program at PLC classes in the last few weeks. The five-week intensive course includes visits to Beijing and Xian, three week course work in Zhengzhou, and a final destination of Shanghai. The seminar-style leadership course will be conducted by a C.U. professor and focuses on a systems analysis of global affairs. The topics will be looked at through four lenses: economic, political, cultural, and environmental. Participants will share the issues with Chinese peer students who are attending summer school.

Orbis has recently found a benefactor and will be able to provide full-scholarships ($3,500 each) to two PLC students. The only cost would be airfare (approximately $1,700) and a Chinese Visa ($200). The website has additional information and also a link to the application.

Applications for these scholarships will be due by April 11, and interviews would take place that week.
