PLC scholars receive prestigious, merit-based scholarships, which range from a base scholarship of $1,000 to possible combined scholarships totaling $12,000. On top of the base PLC scholarship, students also have the opportunity to qualify for additional scholarships through their association with PLC. All PLC scholarships are dependent upon a student's enrollment in a PLC course or participation in a PLC or other leadership experience.
Each PLC scholar receives a base scholarship of $500 per semester for their participation in PRLC 1810 and 1820. After their first year in PLC, scholars have the opportunity to apply for funding from the Presidents Leadership Institute's Leadership Investment Fund. After their second year in PLC, scholars have the opportunity to apply for the PLC leadership practicum. Scholars participating in the practicum receive an additional $1,000 scholarship per semester.
PLC scholars also have access to certain endowed scholarships.
- Five newly admitted incoming PLC scholars are automatically considered for the FirstBank Colorado Scholarship ($6,000 over four years and additional amounts if they qualify for need-based funding).
- Sophomore, junior, and senior scholars are eligible to apply for the Alvin G. Flanagan Scholarship ($500 minimum award ranging up to $3,500) and the Walker Family Scholarship ($500 minimum award ranging up to $2,000). Each year, approximately 25 scholars receive funding from these two endowments.
- Sophomore and junior scholars may also apply for the Michael Lee Hoelscher Memorial Scholarship (annual award up to $2,000).
- All PLC Scholars can apply for the Jamie Hallum Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded at the end of the Fall semester (annual $2,000 award)
- William A. Douglas Scholarship covers the base scholarship plus a $100 additional per semester stipend.
