Sam Addoms [First Year, Speaker] Building an airline from the ground-up is a tough task even for someone with industry experience. But when Colorado investors looked to start Frontier Airlines, they turned instead to respected banker Sam Addoms.

Sam Addoms business careeer in Colorado was already legendary when friends approached him about leaving banking and getting into the airline business.  The airline was going to called Frontier airlines and they wanted Sam to be the President and C.E.O.

In addition to that role, they also wanted him to raise the money and be headquartered in Denver, because Denver was going to have a new five billion-dollar airport. Of course United dominated the Denver airport and they were going to be Frontier’s Goliath.

The move to hire Sam turned out to be a brilliant idea, as Frontier grew to become an industry leader and an important part of the Denver economy and the nation's transportation system.
