Rotaract hosts CU Holiday Hope CelebrationDecemberVolunteers get to eat, enjoy the performances, and the theme is ugly/ festive sweaters! On December 4th Rotaract will host the first annual CU Holiday Hope Celebration, inviting individuals in need – adults, teenagers, mothers, fathers, and children – to celebrate the holidays. Each guest will receive a gift, enjoy a catered buffet meal, and an entertainment performance by the CU Acapella Buffoons, as well as other CU dance and music acts. Of course, Santa Claus will attend. With record numbers of people struggling this event is about community, empowerment, and giving individuals in need a chance to celebrate the true warmth of the season. CU Holiday Hope Celebration is an opportunity to celebrate the holidays and to create a community and university-wide event bridging the gap between the university and greater Boulder community. Greek Life, Student government, CoPIRG and various other student groups are partnering with Rotaract to make this event successful. In addition, Boulder Rotary, Emergency Family Assistance Association, the Carriage House, FEED, Project Revive and Attention Homes are also involved from the community.
Date: Saturday, December 4 Time: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Location: Glenn Miller Ballroom at the University Memorial Center, CU-Boulder campus
