Dr. Eric Chwang - Department of Philosophy at CU-Boulder [2nd Year Lecturer]

September

Dr. Eric Chwang - Department of Philosophy at CU-Boulder [2nd Year Lecturer] The relationship between leadership and ethics is both important and complicated. Dr. Eric Chwang, professor in the CU-Boulder philosophy department, will be exploring Ethical Angles in regards to leadership.

Eric Chwang (PhD, Princeton, 2003; MD, Baylor, 2005) was a post-doctoral fellow in bioethics at the National Institutes of Health from 2005 until 2007, when he joined the CU philosophy department.

Eric's interests lie in the areas of applied ethics (especially medical ethics, and especially especially issues surrounding medical research), normative ethics, political philosophy, and the philosophies of science and language.  He is currently preoccupied with the notion of consent.

When he's not thinking about philosophy or recovering from acute wiiitis, he tries to encourage the misconception that he is athletic and outdoorsy, by posting pictures of the first time he ever went rock-climbing in his entire life on various websites.

Date: Tuesday, September 28

Time: 7:00-8:30 p.m.

Location: Hale Science, CU-Boulder campus
