The Presidents Leadership Institute at CU Boulder invites applications for the position of Program Director/Program Manager of the Presidents Leadership Class (PLC).
The Presidents Leadership Class is a unique undergraduate leadership program offering academic and experiential applications of leadership. Students have the opportunity to study under a dedicated faculty, hear from experienced leaders, take part in service learning as well as many experiential events, with a goal of developing lifelong leadership skills.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the successful Program Director/Program Manager candidate will support the Ex. Director by overseeing the programmatic components of the program. This is an opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of PLC students, engaging students in learning in a dynamic university environment.
Major Functions and Responsibilities:

Work with Executive Director/Strategic Director on PLC program goals and implementation

Oversee continuity and completion of the PLC program

Develop PLC Programming Budget (with Ex. Dir.)

Manage Recruitment & Selection of each PLC cohort

Oversee all PLC Student Fellowship Program
-
Work with Director of Faculty to develop content for Fellowship training
-
Coordinate with Program Coordinator and Director of Faculty on mgmt of fellows.

Responsible for assessment and feedback for Student Fellows
-
Oversee all PLC Scholarships, Endowments, etc.

Serve as PLC Liaison on campus and in community (CLA, Boettcher Team, etc.)

Assist PLC with other programming events and experiential learning as needed

Work with Strategic Director to implement Alumni Relations programming

Work with Executive Director and Strategic Director on all needed programming for new initiatives on campus

With PLC professional staff, mentor/advise PLC students regarding academic and professional careers, and assist students with resume preparation, networking and coordinating internship/job placements, and with preparing scholarship applications.
Skills and Experience:
-
Extensive relationship management skills; ability to interact professionally and diplomatically with business leaders, university administrators/faculty, donors and students to create collaborations.

Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise good judgment.

Experience and/or understanding of leadership development programs in nonprofit, corporate, or university settings (demonstrated commitment to a holistic approach to leadership education: academic study, experiential learning, community service, skills development, and personal growth.)

Outstanding planning, organizational, and project management skills.
-
Demonstrated ability to motivate and work closely with diverse teams of people to accomplish goals.

At least five years of progressively responsible experience in a management/leadership capacity.

Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred.

Solid computer skills including ability to use PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and donor databases.

Preferred experience in an undergraduate college/university setting and preference given to applicants with knowledge of or background with PLC.
