Meyer wins Van Ek Award

Amy Meyer (PLC '09) won the esteeemd Jacob van Ek Award.  The Van Ek Award is one of the highest honors given to select undergraduates in the College of Arts and Sciences who are nominated by their mentors or other faculty members. Awardees are honored with a monetary award and a certificate of recognition at a convocation prior to Commencement.  Recipients are selected by a committee appointed by the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Nominations are submitted to the selection committee from faculty in all departments in the College of Arts and Sciences. The committee is particularly interested in honoring students who have achieved academic excellence as well as participated in extracurricular and volunteer pursuits.  Amy will be graduting with the highest of latin honors, summa cum laude.
