Connecting Great Leaders & Depression

History demonstrates that great leaders are often born from crisis.  But according to a new book, by Dr. Nassirr Ghaemi, a professor of psychiatry at Tufts University School of Medicine and director of the Mood Disorders Program, there is evidence that great leaders are also disproportinately affected by depression.

This connection between mental illness and leadership is summarized in a recent article in the Wall Street Journal, and adapted from Dr. Ghaemi's new book, "A First-Rate Madness: Uncovering the Links Between Leadership and Mental Illness.
