Campus Compact Newman CIvic Fellows Awards

April 18, 2011 Twitter

The Campus Compact is launching the Newman Civic Fellows Awards, a new initiative to both acknowledge and connect student leaders from colleges and universities throughout our network. The awards honor the late Frank Newman, a tireless advocate for the civic engagement of higher education and one of the Compact’s founders.

In the spirit of Dr. Newman’s leadership, the Campus Compact is seeking student nominations for the Newman Civic Fellows Award to recognize student leaders with both the motivation and ability to make substantial contributions toward public problem solving—those that go beyond traditional service activities in their community involvement. Each institution’s nominee will become a Newman Civic Fellow, representing our school among a national group of leaders. Students will receive an award certificate and an invitation to join the Newman Civic Fellows online network. Newman Civic Fellows will be featured on Campus Compact’s national website and in state-specific activities as appropriate.

The nomination process is simple and online: Click Here. Nominations will be accepted until April 18th.
