2 PLC Students Honored As Goldwater Scholars for 2012

PLC sophomores (and sisters) Sai and Sri Radhakrishnan have been awarded the prestigious 2012 Barry M Goldwater Scholarship, for gifted undergraduates in science, engineering and math.  

The Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Program was established by Congress in 1986 to honor Senator Barry M. Goldwater, who served his country for 56 years as a soldier and statesman, including 30 years of service in the U.S. Senate.   Sri and Sai are both chemical engineering majors with plans to pursue graduate work in medicine and related fields.

The purpose of the scholarship is to provide a continuing source of highly qualified scientists, mathematicians, and engineers by awarding scholarships to college students who intend to pursue careers in these fields.
