Jake Davis

Program Director

Jake Davis joins PLC after working in a unique array of leadership roles, ranging from the non-profit sector to the military.  Most recently he was the Chief Operating Officer at The Safe Conflict Project, a Boulder based NGO focused on global conflict resolution. There, he developed the organization's strategic planning models and helped create their design, monitoring, and evaluation tools. He also led the implementation of all the organization's international and national projects.

Prior to this work, Jake was an Active Duty Officer in the US Army. He served with the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team for four years, completing two tours to Afghanistan. In Afghanistan, Jake ran the Brigade's Tactical Operation Center, overseeing day to day combat operations across 14,000 square miles of north eastern Afghanistan.

In addition to Jake's military service, he has also written for Skiing Magazine and spent time as a professional wilderness guide. He helped build an innovative Wilderness Education program at a series of Denver area charter schools that combines classroom curriculum with wilderness experiences in the Rocky Mountains.

Jake is a graduate of Northern Michigan University.
