PLC Curriculum Strategy

PLC understands the world to be a dynamic, ever-changing place that will do one thing consistently: create extraordinary challenges. The future holds challenges that we have not yet perceived and requires solutions that we have not yet needed to imagine. Traditional leadership education, while fundamentally valuable, focuses broadly on motivating groups of people to accomplish an objective. This is too limited in scope to adequately prepare students to meet the world’s emerging complex challenges. Thus, the world needs extraordinary leaders: those with the skills, mindsets, and ethics necessary to do whatever it takes to meet the current and coming needs of our communities, whether those communities are where we live, where we work, locally and abroad. To accomplish our mission of developing these leaders, we provide students with unique academic courses, purposeful experiential education and real-life experiences that:

• Support their academic and professional excellence; encouraging mastery in their field

• Grow critical thinking and analytical capabilities necessary to understand the needs and complexities of the world as it changes in time and space

• Develop extraordinary creativity to design new strategies, products, and solutions

• Hone their abilities to effectively implement ideas and strategies

• Cultivate moral reasoning and ethical behavior, and instill a demonstrable ethic of service and character
