2nd Point of Entry

PLC - 2ND POINT OF ENTRY APPLICATION

Our program wishes to extend our reach to students who:

  • May not have heard about PLC when they applied to CU
  • Were selected as alternates for PLC but the class was full
  • May not have been good candidates while in high school but have since grown and matured
  • Are transferring into CU Boulder as a rising sophomore

PLC will offer up to 10 openings into the program each fall for rising sophomores. We encourage you to learn all you can about PLC from our website, your friends, and by dropping by our office in Norlin Library to determine if the Presidents Leadership Class is the right program for you.  We are a program dedicated to community. 

This community is made up of high-acheiving and motivated learners dedicated to honing their skills that define practical leadership:

  • Academic and Professional Excellence
  • Critical Thinking and Analysis
  • Ethical Reasoning
  • Creativity in Problem Solving
  • Thoughtful Implementation

TO APPLY TO PLC 2ND POINT OF ENTRY:

1. Email [email protected] and request the details for the application and the essay questions.

2.  You will receive an email with the 4 essay prompts attached as a pdf. (Please type these and send your answers as pdf files, or print them out and include with your other application materials)

  • Include your name and SID# on top of each page of your application

3. In addition to the 4 essays you must send or bring the additional items to the PLC office:

  • Letter of Recommendation from CU faculty/staff or high school teacher/counselor or mentor/coach or faculty from another university
  • Unofficial CU Boulder Transcript or from collge/university from which you are transferring
  • Resume with current university activities and involvement

4. All items are DUE to the PLC office by FEB 15.  Late and/or incomplete applications will not be considered.  You can drop off your application to the office in Norlin Library or send it via mail:
